The activities of the CIA during the Cold War are dramatised in The Company (2007). This mini-series is based on the Robert Littell novel of the same name, and stars Batman and Robin – OK it’s Michael Keaton and Chris O’Donnell, but they did play them!
Continuing the comic book theme, Doctor Octopus aka Alfred Molina also appears in this. I’m sure this wasn’t deliberate, and each actor was picked on his talent alone…probably.
