Although Tom Hanks has had many different roles throughout his career, none have ever seemed quite as good as his portrayal of Forrest Gump. The epic journey of a borderline mental retard is quite possibly one of the greatest films ever produced – not to say the best work Hanks has done also.
The Forrest Gump: Special Collector’s Edition release contains two discs which are filled with extra features. The first has two audio commentaries, whilst the second contains some production featurettes (screen tests, deleted scenes, etc.) and a documentary on the making of the movie.
