Channel 4 is a haven for decent comedy - Father Ted, Spaced and Adam & Joe have been personal highlights. I never really bothered with Green Wing (no idea why), but I know that it’s from the team behind Smack The Pony so laughs should be plentiful.
It’s set in a hospital, but throws in a bit of a soap opera style theatrics and a dose of sketch-show madness making for quite a unique comedy show.

Following the events of the first series, Green Wing: The Complete Second Series shows us how perverse the staff of the hospital have become.
Although the previous series didn’t have a plot, as such, this series does - but isn’t better for it, sadly. If you enjoyed the first series, you’ll probably enjoy this one as well though.

The Green Wing Special was created as a one-off episode to complete the story, as it were. Find out whether the show has a happy ending or not - my bets are on not (I haven’t seen it, so I could be wrong).
Although not quite as good as the series’ were, this is a good enough way to finish a show without leaving it in limbo. Buy it if only to complete your collection.
