It's well worth pointing out straight away that the The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (Blu-Ray) boxset contains the theatrical versions of all three films – much to the annoyance of some rabid fans, as the extended movies are also to be released at some point in the future.
If this isn't a problem for you, then you'll be getting The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in glorious high definition – with a truckload of special features thrown in too.
