Taken: Extended Harder Cut (Blu-Ray) £10.99

Taken is an French/American action thriller which stars Liam Neeson as a former Central Intelligence Agency paramilitary operative who sets about tracking down his teenage daughter after she is abducted by slave traders while travelling in France.

This Taken: Extended Harder Cut (Blu-Ray) release comes with footage deleted from the original version to achieve a PG-13 in America, plus a "making of" featurette, footage from the premiere and some side-by-side comparisons.

Doctor Who: The Black Guardian Trilogy is a collection of three stories from the Peter Davison era – Mawdryn Undead, Terminus and Englightenment (the latter of which also comes as a special 75 minute edited version).

Special features are plentiful in this set as well, with each story having an audio commentary by various members of the cast and crew. There's also the option to watch "Mawdryn Unead" and "Terminus" with some new CGI effects.

Lost: The Complete Seasons One to Five £69.99

Since Sky managed to acquire the rights to air Lost in this country, those who don't have satellite television or break the law by illegally downloading episodes have to wait ages before getting a chance to see the show on DVD – which is quite irritating indeed.

Anyway, the Lost: The Complete Seasons One to Five boxset is out now and contains all 103 installments that have been released on disc thus fair. Also included are lots of extra features, including audio commentaries, featurettes and deleted scenes.

Battlestar Galactica: Season Two £4.97

Sometimes it's a good idea to go back to an original film or television programme and re-imagine it – other times it's a complete waste of time. Thankfully, the people behind Battlestar Galactica managed to turn a fairly ropey science fiction series into one of the best of all time.

The Longest Yard, Big Daddy and Click Triple Pack £3.97

Adam Sandler is very much a Marmite actor – you either love him or hate him, with pretty much no middle ground. Although he has been a tad guilty of putting out some horrendous guff in recent times (step forward You Don't Mess with the Zohan), let's never forget the genius of Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison.

Anyway, inside The Longest Yard, Big Daddy and Click triple pack you'll find three films starring Sandler. Of them all, I'd say that Click is perhaps the best – though Big Daddy certainly has its moments as well.

The Sweeney: The Complete Series £15.85

The late John Thaw is perhaps better known to viewers as Inspector Morse, but for many he will always be the tough no-nonsense copper John "Jack" Regan from The Sweeney. Teaming up with Dennis Waterman as George Carter, the show was one of the most popular around in the mid-70's.

The Sweeney: The Complete Series contains all 53 episodes ever made, across a total of 14 discs. This is a vanilla release, which means that it comes with absolutely no extra features (but at a much lower price than the other set which does).

24: Seasons One to Four £24

24 is an American series which stars Kiefer Sutherland as special agent Jack Bauer, who initially works for the Los Angeles based Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) – taking an "ends justify the means" approach regardless of the perceived morality of some of his actions.

Inside the 24: Seasons One to Four boxset you'll find a whopping 27 discs which contain the first 96 episodes of the show. Also included are a raft of special features (although season one only has an introduction by Sutherland and an alternative ending).
