The Inbetweeners: Series One

The Inbetweeners is a comedy show about a group of teenage friends struggling through sixth form at school. When this originally aired on e4 it took many by surprise, me included, by being incredibly funny - roll on series two!

The Inbetweeners: Series One comes with the full six episodes, along with audio commentaries and a "making of" documentary. You’ll also find some deleted scenes, video diaries, and a short featurette on what the cast are really like.

HMV have this available for £4.99 - for more information, click here. It’s easy to recommend cheap DVDs like this, as I can guarantee you’ll laugh more than once in each episode.

Wall-E: Special Edition £9.87

The Wall-E: Special Edition comes with two cheap DVDs that are packed with extra features

An interesting fact about Wall-E is that it’s the first Pixar film to feature any live action characters, which is nice. In it we follow the story of a robot called Wall-E, who is designed to clean up a polluted Earth - he gets on with his job until the appearance of another robot, who he falls in love with and follows into outer space for an adventure.

The Wall-E: Special Edition DVD has a fair few extra features, which are mainly aimed at kids (as you’d expect). These include deleted scenes, an audio commentary, a "read long" version of the movie, and a short film titled "Burn-E".

If you fancy this, click here to buy it for £9.87 from Argos.

HMV 2 For £25 On Blu-Rays

At this very moment there is an HMV 2 for £25 on Blu-Rays offer running. To be honest, it’s been on for a little while now - it’s just that there was nothing to get particularly excited about.

That’s all changed though, as a batch of new releases are now included. By new I mean very new, as Wall-E and Sleeping Beauty are two examples of the quality you’ll find in this deal.

There Will Be Blood: Collector’s Edition £4.99

There Will Be Blood: Collector's Edition

There Will Be Blood tells the story of a silver-miner-turned-oil-man on a ruthless quest for wealth during the oil boom of the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Southern California. This excellent film was well received by most, and led to Daniel Day-Lewis picking up an Academy Award for his work on it.

The There Will Be Blood: Collector’s Edition DVD comes with some short extra features, which include some deleted scenes and a documentary from 1923.

HMV are selling this for £4.99 - click here for more details.

Wacky Races: The Complete Series £7.99

Wacky Races: The Complete Series

When you think of Wacky Races, chances are the first thing that will pop in to your head will either be Dick Dastardly and Muttley, or Penelope Pitstop. It’s interesting to note, however, that there were actually a total of 24 different regular characters - something very unusual for an animated show.

Wacky Races: The Complete Series is a three disc set that contains all 34 races from the 17 episodes produced. Also included are selected commentaries, a retrospective documentary, and a look at two spin-offs.

Blackadder: The Complete Collection - Limited Edition £24.99

Blackadder: The Complete Collection - Limited Edition

It’s the eternal question - was Rowan Atkinson more funny as Mr Bean, or did his portrayal of the eponymous anti-hero Edmund Blackadder raise more laughs? For me it’s most definitely the latter, but it’s an interesting debate to have…

The Blackadder: The Complete Collection - Limited Edition boxset is a six disc set that contains every episode ever made, including the two Specials ("Blackadder’s Christmas Carol" and "Blackadder: Back And Forth"). There’s also some short extra features, in the form of a Comic Relief clip and some info on the historical figures and events.

The Pink Panther Film And Cartoon Collection

A couple of months ago I mentioned that it was a bit strange that The Pink Panther Collection didn’t contain all of Peter Sellers’ outings as French detective Jacques Clouseau - I should have known that another boxset was on the way!

The Pink Panther Film And Cartoon Collection contains all of Sellers’ Panther movies (including The Return Of The Pink Panther) and the complete animated series.
