Blade Runner: Ultimate Collector’s Edition £4.99

Not only is it still regarded by many as the best science fiction film of all time, but Blade Runner also has a genuinely excellent soundtrack – one, whilst highly thought of by fans, that sadly wasn't deemed worthy enough to receive any significant awards.

Anyway, the Blade Runner: Ultimate Collector's Edition set contains five discs which hold four different versions of the movie. Also included are hours of bonus material, chief amongst which is the "Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner" documentary.

Laurel and Hardy: The Collection £31.47

Some modern comedy is funny, but to me the classic stuff always seems that little bit better. I suppose I could be in the minority, but everyone enjoys a laugh now and again – and what better way to do this than by spending some time with Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

Laurel and Hardy: The Collection is a mammoth 21 disc set containing much of their best work, fully re-mastered and some even included in colour as well – though purists will ultimately prefer the original black and white versions.

Armchair Thriller: The Complete Series £15.85

With scripts based on published novels and stories, Armchair Thriller was very popular during its two year run on ITV between 1978 and 1980 – genuinely terrifying audiences by adopting the Armchair Theatre format and adding in a supernatural twist.

Inside the Armchair Thriller: The Complete Series boxset you'll find 47 episodes from the show, so this isn't technically complete – both the "Dead Man's Kit" and "High Tide" stories haven't been included due to rights issues.

Lost on Blu-Ray from £29.95

Lost has just finished its six year run in some style – I'm not going to ruin the end, but let's just say that it does a fairly good job of rounding things off (even if there are still a handful of unexplained events that could with further explanation).

Anyway, the first five seasons, on Blu-Ray, have been reduced in order to celebrate this event. Each episode comes with the best picture an sound quality around, plus there are far too many extra features to list here (including audio commentaries, "making of" featurettes and deleted scenes).

In all honesty, I have to admit that the quality of what's on offer has improved greatly since past offers, with titles such as Speed: Special Edition, Predator: Special Edition and Liar Liar merely scratching the surface.
