Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Series £12.99

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is an animated show which followed the escapades of the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog, and his best friend Miles "Tails" Prower, as they attempt to stop the evil Doctor Ivo Robotnik and his array of vicious robots from taking over the planet Mobius.

Inside the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Complete Series boxset you'll find some eight discs which contain all 65 episodes ever made. Sadly there are no extra features, but you can't have everything I suppose!

V: The Complete Collection £14.83

V is a science fiction franchise about aliens known as "The Visitors" trying to take over Earth, and the human resistance group attempting to stop them. The series has recently been remade by the team behind The 4400, and has begun airing on the Syfy (formerly Sci-Fi) channel in the UK.

Inside the eight disc V: The Complete Collection boxset you'll find every episode of all three of the original series'. This means that V: The Original Miniseries, V: The Final Battle and V: The Complete TV Series are all present and correct – there's little in the way of bonus material though, except an audio commentary and documentary on the miniseries.

The Mummy Trilogy (Blu-Ray) £12.95

Believe it or not, but The Mummy was originally intended to be a Clive Barker film about the head of an art museum who tries to reanimate mummies – thankfully, it instead ended up being an adventure movie which kick-started one of the most popular franchises in recent times.

Inside The Mummy Trilogy (Blu-Ray) boxset you'll find The Mummy, The Mummy Returns and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in glorious high definition. Also included are plenty of extra features, such as audio commentaries on each film and a plethora of featurettes.

Blu-Ray hasn't quite taken off as much as some would have hoped, but with prices falling by a fairly big amount in recent times it could be a good idea to look at the technology – trust me when I say that the jump from standard DVD to high definition is incredible.

Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Collection £24.99

Jeremy Brett's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is considered by some to be the definitive screen version of the famous detective, but, as you can imagine, there's also some who dispute this (for the record, I think he probably is the best thus far).

Joss Whedon is probably still best known as the creator of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series, but he's also gone on to do more stuff which has been criminally overlooked both by critics and viewers – first off there was Firefly, and at the moment we have Dollhouse.

Inside the Dollhouse: Complete Season One boxset you'll find all 13 episodes from the first year, including an installment which wasn't aired. The Tomorrow People: The Complete Series £17.85

Although there was an attempt in the 1990's to attract new audiences to The Tomorrow People, for many the original 1970's version is considered the best – with good reason, as the stories were much more believable and exciting (though the acting wasn't!).

The Tomorrow People: The Complete Series is a huge 16 disc boxset which contains all 68 episodes of the original show, along with audio commentaries and picture galleries. Also included is a bonus disc featuring exclusive interviews with the cast and crew.
