ER: The Final Season £8.99

ER: The Final Season

Well here it is, after 331 episodes across 15 years – the very last installments to be released on DVD. In a way we should feel lucky in this country though, as the U.S. only have the first eleven seasons available on shiny disc (something to do with syndication rights, apparently).

Inside the six disc ER: The Final Season boxset you'll find the last 22 episodes ever produced. Sadly there are no extra features included, even though a retrospective documentary is listed as being found on the last disc – which has to be one of the biggest missed opportunities ever.

Play.com are selling this set for £8.99 – click here for more details.

Ben 10: The Complete Series

As any child (more than likely of the male kind) will tell you, Ben 10 is the best thing since sliced bread – most adults will probably disagree, but there's no denying that it at least keeps them entertained for a while!

Ben 10: The Complete Series does exactly what is says on the tin, by containing all 52 episodes from the original first four seasons. The final installment, titled The Secret of the Omnitrix, is also included as well – which rounds off the story in style.

Planet 51 (Blu-Ray) £9.93

Planet 51 (Blu-Ray)

Not only is it an animated film about an American astronaut who lands on a planet only to discover that its inhabitants consider HIM an alien, but Planet 51 also just happens to be the most expensive movie ever produced in Spain.

This high definition release contains the ultimate picture and sound quality around, plus it comes with some extra features as well. These include three featurettes on the making of the film, three extended scenes, six animation progression reels and a music video montage.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Series One to Six £29.99

The Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Series One to Six boxset contains 13 cheap DVDs

Curb Your Enthusiasm is quite simply the best comedy series since Seinfeld – this shouldn't really be all that surprising, as Larry David was one of the writers on that show.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Complete Series One to Six boxset contains every episode from the first six years, as well as some interesting bonus material. This includes an interview with David and an audio commentary on the first episode.

24: Season Seven £17.93

24: Season Seven

24 is still very popular both here and in the States, but the sixth year seemed to be missing something which critics felt might mean the end of the show being near – fortunately the writer's strike of 2007-2008 gave producers extra time to turn out a very good seventh season.

Inside the 24: Season Seven boxset you'll find all 24 episodes, along with hours of bonus material. This includes audio commentaries on 12 installments, multiple featurettes on the making of the programme and a total of 14 deleted scenes.

Click here to get this for £17.93 from Amazon.

Supernatural: The Complete Seasons One to Three £16.95

Supernatural: The Complete Seasons One to Three

If you've never seen Supernatural (which wouldn't be surprising, as it's only shown on ITV2 in the UK), it's a US series that deals with the paranormal. It's sort of like The X Files, minus the F.B.I. and huge Government conspiracies – oh yeah, and there's no aliens either!

Supernatural: The Complete Seasons One to Three is a huge 17 disc boxset that contains the first 60 episodes for you to enjoy, as well as a whole host of bonus material – including multiple audio commentaries, featurettes on the making of the show and other bits and bobs.

Gossip Girl: The Complete First Season £6.97

Gossip Girl: The Complete First Season

If there's been an empty hole in your life since The O.C. finished, and you're hankering for another teen drama, then Gossip Girl will probably be of interest. It's based on the popular novel series of the same name, and is produced by the same team behind The O.C.

The show satirises and revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with drugs, sex, jealousy, and other such wonderful things that teenagers go through.

The Princess and the Frog (Blu-Ray) £11.97

The Princess and the Frog (Blu-Ray)

As well as being based on the Grimm brothers' fairy tale "The Frog Prince", Disney's animated film The Princess and the Frog is also the company's first traditional 2D outing since Home on the Range in 2004 – plus it's been much more well received than it was too.

This high definition release of the movie looks and sounds fantastic, and it also comes with a DVD copy of the film. Also included are a range of bonus materials, from audio commentaries by the filmmakers to multiple featurettes on how it was made.

Click here to get The Princess and the Frog, on Blu-Ray, for £11.97 from Argos Entertainment. Definitely one of those cheap DVDs that will keep the kids entertained for a while.

The BBC Shakespeare Collection £66.97

The BBC Shakespeare Collection

BBC Television Shakespeare is the collective name given to a series of adaptations of the plays of William Shakespeare by the Beeb between 1978 and 1985. Considering some of the mind-numbing drivel the corporation shows these days, this seems a light year away from the likes of Life of Riley and My Family.

Anyway, inside The BBC Shakespeare Collection boxset you'll find a whopping 37 discs which contain all 37 productions ever made. Sadly there are no extra features, but you can't have everything I suppose!

If you fancy this set, click here to buy it for £66.97 from Amazon.
