The Land Before Time Collection £22.95

Even though the original The Land Before Time film was produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Don Bluth, all of the subsequent sequels have no input from either of them. Pity, as they’ve gradually become worse and worse as time passes.

Inside The Land Before Time Collection you’ll find the first 11 animated films from the series. Believe it or not, but there’s actually now 14 of them, and a TV series has just aired as well!

Captain Scarlet: The Complete Series is a six disc boxset that contains all 32 episodes of the original, and best, version of the show. Also to be found in this set are some interesting extra features, including audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and the "Captain Scarlet S.I.G." documentary.

Night At The Museum £3

Night At The Museum is a film, based on a children’s book, which follows a divorced father trying to settle down, impress his son, and find his destiny. After applying for a job as a night watchman at New York City’s American Museum Of Natural History, he discovers that the exhibits come to life at night.

This single disc DVD version comes with a couple of audio commentaries. There’s also a double disc set available, which features much more bonus material.

Shameless: Series One To Five £17.93

British comedy drama show Shameless is set in the fictional Chatsworth Estate, which is based on the real one in Stretford, Manchester. It centres around the UK underclass culture, and many of the stories come from creator Paul Abbott’s own experiences from when he was younger.

The Shameless: Series One To Five boxset contains all 50 episodes aired thus far, including the 2004 Christmas and 2006 New Year specials. The next series apparently begins in January, but I have no idea when exactly.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - The Complete First Season From £12.89

Although only nine episodes can be found in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - The Complete First Season, this shouldn’t put you off taking a look at it - especially if you’re a fan of the films.

For some reason the standard DVD release only has four deleted scenes in terms of bonus material, whilst the Blu-Ray version has countless more (including audio commentaries, additional deleted scenes, audition tapes, and an extended episode).

Men In Black I And II Boxset £4.89

Both of the Men In Black films are very good in their own right, but in my opinion the first one is ever-so-slightly better - the comedy seems funnier and the plot is more tightly-knit than in the sequel.

The Men In Black I And II boxset contains the Special Editions of both movies, which come packed to the rafters with bonus material. These include audio commentaries, deleted and alternative scenes, featurettes, and documentaries.

Most of the stand-up DVDs that have been released in time for Christmas are now £7 each instore at Asda. This happens every year, but they normally wait until Boxing Day before doing it.
