Torchwood: Series One to Three £29.89

Torchwood: Series One to Three

Being a spin-off from one of the most successful incarnations of Doctor Who might have been hard enough, but Torchwood also had to contend with some fairly harsh criticism from reviewers (most of which was a tad unjustified, if you ask me).

Anyway, inside the Torchwood: Series One to Three boxset you'll find all 31 episodes of the show. Also included are a wide range of special features, from audio commentaries on selected installments right through to featurettes and deleted scenes.

Sendit.com are selling this set for £29.89 – click here for more details.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Blu-Ray) £8.95

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Blu-Ray)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine acts as a prequel to the X-Men film series, focusing on the violent past of the mutant Wolverine and his relationship with his half-brother Victor Creed. Also detailed are his early encounters with Colonel William Stryker, his time with Team X, and the bonding of Wolverine's skeleton with the indestructible metal adamantium during the Weapon X program.

As you can imagine, this high definition release has the absolute best picture and sound quality around. You'll also find a fair few extra features, including two audio commentaries, six featurettes on Wolverine and the making of the film, and a look at the characters.

Broken Arrow (Blu-Ray) £6.80

Broken Arrow (Blu-Ray)

Broken Arrow is a John Woo action film which deals with the attempted theft of an American nuclear weapon. John Travolta and Christian Slater have starring roles, but don't let this put you off – both were arguably at the peak of their careers at this time (with Travolta in particular having some great success).

This looks and sounds fantastic in high definition, as you'd expect, but it's a pity that there is absolutely no special features of any kind to be found – a seriously missed opportunity if ever I saw one.

Click here to buy Broken Arrow, on Blu-Ray, for £6.80 from Amazon.

Chuck: The Complete First Season £6.93

After rumors that it could have been axed after two years, Chuck was renewed another season thanks to a "Save Chuck" campaign in the U.S. Good thing too, as this action comedy series about an average guy who accidentally receives the world's greatest spy secrets is incredibly funny.

Chuck: The Complete First Season is a four disc set that contains all 13 episodes from the first year, along with a featurette on the making of the show, some deleted scenes, four webisodes and a gag reel.

Asda have this available for £6.93 – for more information, click here.

Bananaman: The Ultimate Collection £4.99

Bananaman: The Ultimate Collection

Bananaman was an animated series based on the British comic book character of the same name. With an incredibly catchy theme tune and voices provided by The Goodies, it still very popular years after first airing in 1983 (I'm a fan, and I was only born that year!).

Inside the Bananaman: The Ultimate Collection boxset you'll find three discs which contain all 40 episodes ever produced. Sadly there's nothing in the way of extra features, but you can't have everything I suppose.

Click here to get this for £4.99 from HMV.

Peep Show: Series One To Five £13.99

The Peep Show: Series One to Five boxset contains a total of five cheap DVDs

Should Peep Show be as funny as it is? Probably not, when you consider it's essentially a show about a depressed guy and a waster – but somehow David Mitchell and Robert Webb make this one of the best comedies currently showing on our TV screens.

The Peep Show: Series One to Five boxset contains the first 30 episodes shown on Channel 4, as well as the usual smattering of bonus material – including audio commentaries, deleted scenes, featurettes and the like.

If you fancy this set, click here to buy it for £13.99 from Play.com.

Johnny Depp Collection £4.47

Johnny Depp Collection

Johnny Depp is one of those actors who can certainly say that's had a pretty varied career – for a guy who was known more for his artistic choices, I don't think anyone could have imagined that he would take on a role in one of the biggest franchise's in Disney's history (Pirates of the Caribbean, if you've been living under a rock for the last five years).

Anyway, the Johnny Depp Collection contains three of his best films. Before Night Falls, Edward Scissorhands and From Hell are all great in their own right, plus Scissorhands also comes with an audio commentary, "making of" featurette and some interviews.

A Touch of Frost: Series One to Five £23.97

Just the other night saw the very final outing for David Jason as William Edward "Jack" Frost, with A Touch Of Frost concluding after a very impressive near-18 year run – something which probably won't be matched for quite some time.

Inside the A Touch of Frost: Series One to Five boxset you'll find the first 20 feature-length episodes. Sadly there are no extra features, but you can't have everything I suppose!

Tesco are selling this set for £23.97 – click here for more details.
