I should point out that although this boxset is titled The Complete Blackadder, it is in fact missing two things to be a true complete collection - the Blackadder’s Christmas Carol and Blackadder: Back And Forth Specials.

It is worth getting this set though, as the four series’ of historical comedy are some of the best stuff that has been produced in this country. Rowan Atkinson is also fantastic as Edmund Blackadder, and Tony Robinson’s portrayal of Baldrick is easily the best thing he has ever done.

Grounded For Life: Season One £5.97

As is often the case with American programmes shown on terrestrial channels in this country, Grounded For Life had a very bad time slot and, as such, not too many people will have heard of it.

Sean and Claudia Finnerty are a fun-loving Staten Island couple who were pregnant and married by the age of 18. Now in their early 30s, they’re stuck raising three kids while still trying to grow up themselves.

Blade: Trinity £2.99

Both Blade and Blade II are excellent vampire action movies, but sadly the last entry in the series - Blade: Trinity - is nowhere near as good. It does have at least one thing going for it though, in the shapely form of Jessica Biel.

Count Dracula is back and thirsty for blood, so it’s up to Blade and his new sidekicks to stop him. However, the Count’s cronies are quite nutty and prove a formidable test for our "daywalker" hero.

The Pursuit Of Happyness, Big Daddy, And About A Boy Triple Pack £6

Out of all of the films that Will Smith has starred in so far, my personal favourite has to be The Pursuit Of Happyness. It tells the story of salesman-turned-stockbroker Chris Gardner, and the hardships he has to go through to achieve his dream.

Adam Sandler is actually quite good in the OK comedy Big Daddy, and Hugh Grant is equally good in the excellent About A Boy (which is based on the Nick Hornby book of the same name).

Instore at Tesco you can pick up this The Pursuit Of Happyness, Big Daddy, and About A Boy triple pack for £6.

The Muppet Show: Season Two £7.89

One of the best-love variety shows of all-time is The Muppet Show. Even though puppets might be considered something that would only entertain kids, this managed to have enough quality to keep the young and old glued to the screen.

The Muppet Show: Season Two contains 24 episodes, as well as a Valentine Special and a music video featuring Weezer.

Men Behaving Badly: Six Pack £21.99

Men Behaving Badly was a British comedy series that followed the lives of flatmates Gary Strang and Tony Smart. Interestingly, this first started on ITV and then moved to the BBC after one series - where it went on to become a huge success.

The Men Behaving Badly: Six Pack contains every episode from series one to six, but doesn’t include the "Jingle Balls!" Christmas Special or the final three extended episodes.

Starsky & Hutch: The Complete Collection £25.41

Even after Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson lampooned the series in a feature-length film, Starsky & Hutch still holds up as a very good police drama even today. The fashion and police tactics may have changed somewhat, but it’s still great to watch.

Starsky & Hutch: The Complete Collection is a huge 20 disc boxset that contains all 93 episodes ever made from the four series’. There’s also some special features that look at the making of the show and the aforementioned movie.

Third Watch: The Complete First Season £7.89

Third Watch was a US drama series set in New York City that followed the lives of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics in the fictional 55th Precinct and Fire Station 55 whose shifts fall between 3pm and 11pm (the "third watch").

Third Watch: The Complete First Season contains the first 22 episodes, and is strangely the only season that is available on DVD in this country from the six that were made.

The 4400: The Fourth Season £12.89

Even though The 4400: The Fourth Season marks the end of the US science fiction show, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a one-off episode at some point. There’s even a slim chance that it could come back for another full year, in much the same way that Jericho did.

If you’ve never seen it before, the programme is about 4400 missing people who all return exactly as they were on the day they vanished. Amidst the confusion, the Government investigates where they’ve been and why they’ve come back - only to discover that their presence will change the human race in ways nobody could have imagined…

Space: 1999 is a British science fiction series. In it, nuclear waste from Earth that is being stored on the moon explodes and knocks the moon out of its orbit - sending it and the 311 inhabitants of Moonbase Alpha hurtling uncontrollably into outer space.

The Space: 1999 - Series One (Special Edition) boxset contains the first 24 episodes, which have been completely remastered for this release. Also included are a range of extra features, amongst which are audio commentaries and a "making of" documentary.
