Survivors: Series One to Three £17.99

Survivors: Series One to Three

Survivors is a British series that follows the plight of a group of people who have survived an accidentally released plague that kills nearly the entire population of the planet. It was recently remade (rather well, I might add) by the BBC.

Inside the Survivors: Series One to Three boxset you'll find all 38 episodes, along with audio commentaries on selected installments and a documentary on the making of the third year. There's also a range of interviews with various members of the cast and crew.

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire £6.49

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire is a comedic sword and sorcery series, set in an ancient fantasy realm, which follows think-skinned and underconfident freedom fighter Krod Mandoon in his struggle against the evil ruler Chancellor Dongalor.

The DVD contains all six episodes that have been made thus far (apparently there's a chance more will be produced), along with a "behind the scenes" featurettes, deleted scenes, outtakes and some interviews with the cast.

The Ultimate Matrix Collection £9.85

The Ultimate Matrix Collection

Whilst The Matrix was extremely successful with both critics and the general public, the quality of the sequels is still a matter of debate – for the record, I thought that The Matrix Reloaded was very good (although The Matrix Revolutions was poor in comparison to both).

Anyway, The Ultimate Matrix Collection boxset contains all three films, along with over 30 hours of bonus material – including multiple audio commentaries, documentaries, featurettes and deleted scenes. The Animatrix compilation of nine animated shorts is also to be found on the seventh disc of this 10 disc set.

Walking with Beasts: The Complete Series £9.97

Walking with Beasts: The Complete Series

As a sequel, of sorts, to Walking with Dinosaurs, Walking with Beasts is another six-part documentary that takes a look at prehistoric life through the use of computer-generated imagery and animatronics – this time focusing on the Cenozoic era.

The Walking with Beasts: The Complete Series set contains two discs which contain every episode, along with some decent extra features. These include the "Triumph of the Beasts" and "The Beasts Within" specials, plus interviews with the production crew and a photo gallery.

The Lion Man: Series One to Three £17.99

The Lion Man: Series One to Three

The Lion Man is a documentary series about the New Zealand big cat sanctuary called Zion Wildlife Gardens, and more specifically the founder and majority shareholder Craig Busch – whose private life ultimately led to the show being cancelled (it's still fairly popular on Sky though).

Inside The Lion Man: Series One to Three boxset you'll find all 43 episodes ever produced across 12 discs. Sadly there are no extra features included, but you can't have everything I suppose!

Play.com have this available for £17.99 – for more information, click here.

Last Chance to See (Blu-Ray) £8.48

Last Chance to See (Blu-Ray) is one of the better cheap DVDs to come from the BBC

20 years ago author Douglas Adams and zoologist Mark Carwardine set out to look at a range of different endangered species in the radio series Last Chance to See. Now Stephen Fry has taken over from the late Adams, and travels the globe to discover just what has happened to these creatures after all this time…

This high definition release of the programme looks and sounds fantastic, which more than makes up for the apparent lack of special features (although there may actually be some, I have been wrong before!).

Doctor Who: The Complete Fourth Series £17.99

Doctor Who: The Complete Fourth Series

The announcement that David Tennant would be leaving the role of Doctor Who probably wasn't that much of a surprise – a relative unknown, in the shape of Matt Smith, taking his place was quite a shock though (it'll be interesting to see whether this becomes a good move).

Anyway, the Doctor Who: The Complete Fourth Series boxset contains all 15 episodes from the last full season. Also included are a host of special features, such as audio commentaries, deleted scenes, video diaries, and the "Time Crash" Children In Need special.

Bang CD are selling this for £17.99 – click here for more details.

The Ultimate Ronnie Barker Collection

One thing us British do well is comedy, and Ronnie Barker is one of the all-time greats. Whether working with Ronnie Corbett in the excellent The Two Ronnies or by himself in other shows, Barker's work will still be looked back on with great fondness in the future.

The Ultimate Ronnie Barker Collection is a huge 12 disc set that contains many of his best-loved series'. In it you'll find every episode of Seven Of One, Porridge, Open All Hours, Going Straight, The Magnificent Evans, and Clarence.

The X-Files: The Complete Collector’s Edition £64.98

The X-Files: The Complete Collector's Edition

Even though The X-Files has been off our screens for just over six years, there's still a massive fan-base that will probably not be entirely happy until the story is completely wrapped up. Perhaps we'll get all our answers in 2012…

The X-Files: The Complete Collector's Edition is a humongous 61 disc boxset that not only contains all 202 episodes from the nine seasons made, but the first film (The X-Files: Fight The Future) as well.

Amazon have this set available for £64.98 – for more information, click here.

Knight Rider (2008): Season One £9.99

The Knight Rider (2008): Season One boxset contains a total of four cheap DVDs

Knight Rider (2008) was an attempt at continuing the story from the original 1982 series, which ultimately proved unsuccessful as it was cancelled after 17 episodes. Whilst it was OK, the lack of Hoff action proved to be the show's downfall…probably.

Inside the Knight Rider (2008): Season One boxset you'll find all of these installments, plus the feature-length TV movie pilot. Also included are an audio commentary on the pilot, three featurettes on the making of the programme, and a gag reel.
