The Chaplin Collection

Charlie Chaplin still influences many comedians some 30 years after he died. It might not be to everyone’s taste, but it’s plain to see that in some respects he was ahead of his time - especially with his political views on the Nazis (he was strongly against them at a time when many weren’t).

The Chaplin Collection contains nine of his best works, A Woman Of Paris (the first film he made that he didn’t star in), and Charlie: The Life And Art Of Charles Chaplin (a feature-length documentary on his extraordinary life).

Amazon have this 11 disc set available for £50.97 - for more information, click here.

Atonement (HD-DVD) £2.86

Atonement (HD-DVD)

For some, films like Atonement are the visual equivalent to watching paint dry. What I will say is that this has at least one thing going for it, in the shapely form of Keira Knightley - how very bloody sexist of me!

The HD-DVD release of Atonement comes with a brilliant looking picture (as you’d expect), and also contains all of the extra features found on the standard DVD version.

Click here to buy this for only £2.86 from 101 CD.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring - Extended Edition

Many people waited for a very long time to see The Lord Of The Rings trilogy make it to the big screen, but it was definitely worth it. Rambo (Blu-Ray) £9.83

Rambo (Blu-Ray)

This might sound a little bit strange, but Rambo is actually the fourth in the series - and follows First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Rambo III in confusing the heck out of anyone wanting to watch them all. Stupid, if you ask me.

Anyway, the Blu-Ray release of the film comes with an absolutely brilliant looking picture (as you’d expect) and a whole load of special features.
