Eraser (Blu-Ray) £9.50

Eraser (Blu-Ray)

Even though Eraser did not too badly at the US box office, it was largely ignored in this country - I have no idea why this is. If anything it could be considered one of Arnie’s most underrated movies, as it’s up there with True Lies in terms of watchability.

In it, Schwarzenegger stars as a US Marshal who is assigned to protect a scientist after she discovers plans to sell a top secret device to terrorists. Will Arnie succeed, or can he possibly be defeated - what do you think?!?

Click here to get the Blu-Ray version of this film for around £9.50 delivered from Tower.com.

Absolutely: Everything £22.97

Absolutely: Everything

The cast and crew behind Channel 4 comedy sketch show Absolutely were mainly Scottish, with Jack Docherty and Gordon Kennedy being two of the stars. It’s quite interesting that not too many people have seen this as the quality is top drawer, and is probably better than some stuff that passes for comedy today.

Absolutely: Everything is an eight disc set that contains every episode ever made from all four series’. Selected audio commentaries are included, as well as a couple of short featurettes.

Click here to get this boxset for £22.97 from Amazon.

Roots: 30th Anniversary Edition £11.99

Roots: 30th Anniversary Edition

Although the book it’s based on has been factually disputed somewhat, the TV mini-series Roots is still important enough to warrant a watch by everyone. It gives you a true sense of how badly coloured people have been treated in the past, and how good it is that we all live (relatively) happily together now.

The Roots: 30th Anniversary Edition boxset is a four disc set that contains all eight episodes. There’s also some brand-new special features, including an audio commentary and a couple of documentaries.

Play.com have this priced at £11.99 - click here for more details.

Blade: Trinity £2

Blade: Trinity

With Wesley Snipes probably going to jail some time soon, it’s doubtful whether there will be any more Blade films. Perhaps this could be a good thing though, as Blade: Trinity wasn’t quite as good as the first two.

The title is referring to the team of three who are now battling the vampire together - Blade, Hannibal King, and Abigail Whistler. Count Dracula has returned, and only this team stand between him and total destruction…

Instore at Woolworths you can get this for only £2. If you’re curious as to how the story continues after this movie be sure to check out Blade: The Complete Series, which is currently £7.99 at Zavvi.

Game On: The Complete Boxset £14

Game On: The Complete Boxset

Samantha Janus is more recognisable now for her role in EastEnders, but she previously starred in BBC comedy series Game On - she was also significantly more attractive back then as well.

It revolved around the lives of three twentysomethings sharing a flat in Battersea, and the various sexual escapades they get (or don’t get) into.
