Torchwood: The Complete Second Series (Blu-Ray) £15.85

Torchwood: The Complete Second Series (Blu-Ray)

After two full seasons, the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood had a quite successful one week run with the Children of Earth mini-series. The show will return at some point in the future, with an initial ten more installments (though more could appear depending on ratings).

This includes a featurette on the character of Captain Jack Harkness, deleted scenes, outtakes and every "Torchwood: Declassified" installment.

Sherlock Holmes (2009) (Blu-Ray) £10.99

Sherlock Holmes (2009) (Blu-Ray)

Although you'd wouldn't at first think that Robert Downey Jr. could put in a good performance as the esteemed English detective Sherlock Holmes, he's actually very good in the 2009 film of the same name (and puts on a not-too-shabby accent as well).

This high definition release has excellent picture and sound quality, as you'd expect, plus it comes with both DVD and digital copies. You'll also find a "Maximum Movie Mode" interactive feature alongside many "making of" featurettes.

Amazon have Sherlock Holmes (2009), on Blu-Ray, available for £10.99 – for more information, click here.

The Complete Brittas Empire £16.89

The Complete Brittas Empire

The Brittas Empire is a British sitcom that stars Chris Barrie as Gordon Brittas, the well-meaning but incompetent manager of Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre. Running for seven series', it gained large audiences throughout the 90's and was named the 47th best British sitcom in 2004.

The Complete Brittas Empire boxset contains all 53 episodes ever made, including the two Christmas specials and 1996 Children In Need short. You'll also find interviews with the cast and crew, an excerpt from the 1996 Royal Variety Performance, a stills gallery, outtakes from series four and a couple of interactive quizzes.

Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Machine Boxset £22.97

Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Machine Boxset

Scooby-Doo originally started off life as an animated series back in 1970, and has continued (in various different forms) to this day. There's also been a couple of live-action films produced, neither of which were particularly good sadly.

Anyway, inside the Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Machine Boxset you'll find ten discs which contain the Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed movies, alongside tons of animated adventures.

If you fancy this set of cheap DVDs, click here to buy it for £22.97 from Amazon.

Tom and Jerry Classic Collection: Volumes One to Six £12.97

Tom and Jerry Classic Collection: Volumes One to Six

The Internet is a great place to buy stuff, as prices can be quite a bit lower than you would find on the high street. However these same prices sometimes go up and down like a yo-yo, which is the case with the Tom and Jerry Classic Collection: Volumes One to Six boxset.

It contains almost all of the original cartoons ever made across six discs, although I should mention that some have been edited due to perceived racism and controversy (these only amount to close-ups and sound edits though).

Click here to get this for £12.97 from Amazon.

ER: The Complete Series £58.97

ER: The Complete Series

Even though ER lasted for a total of 15 seasons, which is pretty much unheard of for a prime-time American show, it's still nowhere near as long-running as our very own medical drama Casualty – after 694 installments it still keeps viewers hooked on people falling off ladders, getting run over, or simply having a bit of a sore head (how frightfully British).

Inside the ER: The Complete Series boxset you'll find a whopping 45 discs which hold all 331 episodes ever produced. Also included are countless hours of bonus material, which ranges from audio commentaries through to featurettes and deleted scenes.

Amazon are selling this set for £58.97 – click here for more details.

James Bond: Ultimate Edition Boxsets £9.85

Sean Connery: Ultimate Edition    Roger Moore: Ultimate Edition

With so many to choose from, it's quite difficult to say which James Bond film is the best – with pretty much no other series of movies providing such memorable moments. And let's not start on the hot potato that is who was the greatest 007…

Anyway, these two sets contain a big percentage of the Bond outings – bar On Her Majesty's Secret Service and the Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig portrayals. Each comes with tons of extra features as well, such as audio commentaries and multiple featurettes.

Click here to buy the Sean Connery: Ultimate Edition boxset, or click here to buy the Roger Moore: Ultimate Edition boxset – both of which are £9.85 at Zavvi.

The Pink Panther Film and Cartoon Collection £15.85

The Pink Panther Film and Cartoon Collection

When it has appeared on this site from time to time, I've mentioned that it was a bit strange that The Pink Panther Collection didn't contain all of Peter Sellers' outings as French detective Jacques Clouseau – I should have known that another boxset was on the way!

The Pink Panther Film and Cartoon Collection contains all of Sellers' Panther movies (including The Return of the Pink Panther) and the complete animated series.

Terminator Quadrilogy £9.85

You'll find four cheap DVDs inside the Terminator Quadrilogy boxset

When James Cameron brought the first Terminator movie to the big-screen in 1984, I doubt that he could even imagine how much of an impact it would have on filmmakers in the science fiction genre – not to mention the fact that it became one of the most popular franchises in the world.

Anyway, the Terminator Quadrilogy boxset contains all four films that have been made so far. From Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator: Salvation, I'd have to say that the second one is still the best (although three and four are nowhere near as bad as some would have you think).
