The Brave One (2007) sees Jodie Foster portray a New York radio host whose life is turned upside down after a brutal attack, which leaves her badly wounded and her fiancé dead. Unable to get over the tragedy, she begins to stalk those she believes are responsible – but is she becoming the very thing she is trying to stop?

On the DVD you’ll find a documentary on the making of the film titled "I Walk The City", along with a total of seven minutes of deleted scenes deemed unworthy for the final cut of the movie.

The Omen Trilogy £4.99

The Omen Trilogy

Without a doubt, the original version of The Omen is easily one of the best horror films of all-time. An ever-present sense of dread is felt from beginning to end, and the death scenes are still fairly shocking to this day.

The Omen Trilogy boxset contains this, along with copies of Damien: Omen II and Omen III: The Final Conflict. Whilst neither are as good as the first, both are very watchable movies in their own right.

The Wire: Seasons One To Four £9.99 Each

The Wire: The Complete First Season    The Wire: The Complete Second Season    The Wire: The Complete Third Season

The Wire: The Complete Fourth Season

It was just recently that we featured The Wire: Seasons One To Three for what seemed decent prices, but we’ve managed to find them for an even lower amount today.

If you’ve yet to see any of the U.S. show, let me tell you that it’s quite simply the greatest television programme ever made. Sounds like hyperbole, but when you see it you’ll come to the same conclusion.

Bang CD are selling The Wire: The Complete First Season for an incredible £9.99 – click here for more details. Click here to buy The Wire: The Complete Second Season, click here to get The Wire: The Complete Third Season, or click here for The Wire: The Complete Fourth Season – all of which are also the same price from the same retailer.

Ricky Gervais Live Collection £7.99

Ricky Gervais Live Collection

Although Ricky Gervais is now a very successful comedian, it’s strange to think how long he actually struggled to get any sort of recognition. Appearances on Channel 4 sketch programme "The 11 O’Clock Show" and his own series titled "Meet Ricky Gervais" both bombed, whilst initial attempts at stand-up were not all that great to be honest.

Thankfully he’s since become one of the funniest people in the country (possibly the world), and produced three very funny stand-up DVDs. "Animals", "Politics" and "Fame" can all be found inside the Ricky Gervais Live Collection boxset, along with some fairly decent bonus material.

Nico: Above The Law (Blu-Ray) £8.97

Nico: Above The Law (Blu-Ray)

Nico: Above The Law is a 1988 film which is probably best remembered for being the debut of one of the world’s greatest action stars, Steven Seagal. He plays a Chicago cop who tracks down ex-CIA operatives trafficking drugs and plotting a political assassination – kicking arse and taking names as he goes.

High definition has been kind to the picture and sound quality on this release, with Seagal looking a lot better than he does now! No extras on this though, save for a theatrical trailer (which is pretty much standard for every DVD, never mind Blu-Ray).

To get Nico: Above The Law, on Blu-Ray, for £8.97 from Amazon, simply click here. Definitely one of those cheap DVDs that action fans should add to their collection.

Collateral Damage (Blu-Ray) £8.47

Collateral Damage (Blu-Ray)

Whilst the story behind Collateral Damage isn’t anything original – man seeks out killers of his wife and son – there are enough explosions to keep anyone happy. With it being an Arnold Schwarzenegger film, you can also guarantee extreme levels of violence being dished out to a collection of nasty people.

The movie itself looks and sounds fantastic in high definition, as you can imagine, but I’m not entirely sure whether there are any extra features included. I’ll say there isn’t any, however there is a chance there might be some (how vague!).

Charlie And The Chocolate Factory: Special Edition £2.99

The Charlie And The Chocolate Factory: Special Edition contains two cheap DVDs filled with extras and games

Charlie And The Chocolate Factory is the 2005 Tim Burton film based on the Roald Dahl children’s novel of the same name. Not only is it the second adaptation of the book (Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, with Gene Wilder, being the first), but it’s also the second movie Tim Burton has produced which has been based on a Roald Dahl novel after James And The Giant Peach.

The Charlie And The Chocolate Factory: Special Edition DVD comes with eight featurettes looking at the making of the movie and four interactive games. I’m a little surprised there’s no audio commentary, as Burton has been known to do them when asked.

HMV have this available for £2.99 – for more information, click here.

Foo Fighters: Everywhere But Home £3.99

Foo Fighters: Everywhere But Home

After the untimely death of Kurt Cobain in 1994, drummer Dave Grohl formed the Foo Fighters as a one-man project in 1995. Prior to the release of the band’s first album, Grohl drafted in a lead guitar, drummer and bass player, and decided to take on the daunting task of lead vocals himself – something which seemed a little surprising after his time in Nirvana.

Foo Fighters: Everywhere But Home is a collection of live performances from their 2003 "One By One" tour. Extras on the DVD include an audio version of a show from Iceland and a photo gallery – it’s also worth mentioning that there’s a hidden recording of their Dublin concert (go to the main menu, select "Slane Castle", press 3 and wait for a red arrow to appear, press 8 and wait for a red arrow to appear, and finally repeat the last two steps for the numbers 2, 5, 4, and 6).

If you fancy this, click here to buy it for £3.99 from HMV.
