Back To The Future Trilogy: Ultimate Edition £8.89

It’s hard to imagine now that the time travel device in the first Back To The Future film was originally planned to be a fridge – only for the production team to decide it might be a bit dangerous if any kids tried to do the same thing! There was never any intention in doing a sequel either, but thank the Lord that they did.

The Back To The Future Trilogy: Ultimate Edition boxset contains all three entries in the series, which each come with hours and hours of bonus material. Also included is a bonus disc that holds all of the stuff that was missing from the previous DVD release (an audio track, deleted scenes, and a Huey Lewis And The Music video being the highlights).

Cirque Du Soleil: Volumes One To Three £7.98 Each

Cirque Du Soleil is a Canadian entertainment company that performs modern circus shows around the world, without the use of rings or animals. Initially struggling to get anyone to attend any shows, they now routinely sell out to crowds of over 9,000 a night in Las Vegas – quite the success story, I think you’ll agree.

The Cirque Du Soleil: Volumes One To Three boxsets each contain four feature-length performances per set, along with a range of extra features that look into the making of each show.

Although it only lasted two seasons, and finished airing in 2005, Mile High has managed to keep a small fan base. Considering it’s also a Sky1 show that didn’t get particularly fantastic ratings, this is nothing short of remarkable – perhaps the lives of cabin crews are fascinating to some people!?!

Inside the Mile High: The Complete Series boxset you’ll find all 39 episodes ever made. There are no extra features, but when you see that each installment lasts around 44 minutes then you realise that this will take you just over 29 hours to get through!

The Marx Brothers were a popular team of five brothers who appeared in variety shows, stage plays, film, and television. Even though they have long since passed on, an incredible amount of true comedy classics have been left for the generations that follow to enjoy.

Six of their best movies can be found in The Marx Brothers Collection. "A Night At The Opera", "A Day At The Races", "At The Circus", "Go West", "The Big Store", and "A Night In Casablanca". Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce became global icons after their portrayals of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson respectively delighted audiences between 1939 and 1946. The outbreak of World War II didn’t stop them either, with many of the mysteries from this period focusing on strong anti-Nazi themes.

Inside the Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Collection boxset you’ll find all 14 films the pair made together. There’s also four audio commentaries, extensive production notes on each mystery, a featurette discussing the restoration project for the series, and a photo gallery containing the original movie posters.

With many of the BBC’s current attempts at comedy, it seems as though they’ve forgotten that people watch them to laugh. Thank heavens then that My Family still manages to eek out a giggle or two, even though it’s now running into its ninth season.

Inside the My Family: The Complete Series One To Seven boxset you’ll find the first 76 episodes of the regular show, but none of the specials are included – you have to buy a separate DVD to get them, for some reason.

Earth (Blu-Ray) £7.98

Earth is an award-winning natural history film from the BBC that depicts the diversity of wild habitats and creatures that live across our planet, and looks at the threats they may encounter in the future in order to survive.

Looking stunning and sounding equally as good in high definition, this is highly recommended if you want something to show off the capabilities of improved quality. Owners of "Planet Earth" may choose to avoid this though, as much of the footage is recycled from it.

National Treasure: The Treasure Hunter’s Collection (Blu-Ray) £17.98

Nicolas Cage has had quite an odd career, with some fantastic films (The Rock, Con Air) under his belt and some absolute howlers as well (Next, The Wicker Man). When National Treasure was announced, I don’t think many were too interested – however, it’s turned into a fairly successful franchise.

National Treasure: The Treasure Hunter’s Collection, on Blu-Ray, contains both movies made so far in glorious high definition. Each are packed with bonus material as well, which is nice.
