The League Of Gentlemen: The Complete Collection

The League Of Gentlemen was one of the best comedy shows in recent years to come out of the BBC - although it never quite reached the heights that Little Britain and The Office hit.

The League Of Gentlemen: The Complete Collection contains all three series’ and the Christmas specials, as well as a whole host of bonus material.

I Am Legend (Blu-Ray) £9.99

I Am Legend (Blu-Ray)

I Am Legend is based on the book of the same name, and tells the story of the last man alive and how he goes about trying to stay alive. I should probably mention that he has some evil things to deal with as well, as you’d expect.

Will Smith puts in a brilliant performance and although obvious comparisons can be drawn with the likes of 28 Days Later, I thought it was very enjoyable (even if the ending was a bit crap).

Click here to get the Blu-Ray release for the reduced price of £9.99 at Movietyme - it’s an American Blu-Ray, but will work perfectly on your PAL machine.

My Boy Jack £4.99

My Boy Jack

My Boy Jack is about Rudyard Kipling’s son Jack going off to war. Once this happens, his wife is bitterly upset about the whole thing - how will Kipling live with the conflict between two of his greatest passions: a love for his family and a devotion to King and Country?

Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe stars in this ITV drama film, which is quite the departure from his time as the boy wizard. The DVD features exclusive interviews with the cast and deleted scenes.

Ridley Scott Boxset £8.95

Ridley Scott Boxset

Ridley Scott is probably one of the best directors that this country has ever produced, even if some of his films aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Where would be without Alien, for example?

This Ridley Scott Boxset contains five of his best films, which are each excellent in their own particular way - Black Hawko Down, GI Jane, Gladiator, Hannibal and Someone To Watch Over Me.

The Jungle Book: 40th Anniversary Edition £5.99

The Jungle Book: 40th Anniversary Edition

Everyone’s a sucker for a good Disney film, me included. The Jungle Book is one of the best they’ve ever made, in my opinion anyway - I bet you didn’t know that this song-filled celebration of friendship, fun and adventure was the last movie Walt Disney was personally involved with.

The Jungle Book: 40th Anniversary Edition DVD contains a whole host of bonus material including a music video, audio commentary, "Lost Character" information and various documentaries.

In order to get this for the bargain price of £5.99 from CD-WOW, all you have to do is click right here.

The Shrek Trilogy £9.99

The Shrek Trilogy

Even though they were made for kids, The Shrek Trilogy appeal to adults as well - this is probably down to the all-star cast, and the fact that some of the jokes are a bit more risqué than you might expect (nothing too strong though!).

Each film has Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) dealing with all kinds of madness that happens in his life. From Donkey (Eddie Murphy) through to Fiona (Cameron Diaz), he’s never short of friends - or trouble!

Jumper £9.72

Jumper

The idea behind the film Jumper is quite good - a couple of guys discover that they can teleport from one place to another. Sadly the execution is quite terrible, mainly down to some awful acting and pretty bad storyline.

A teenager from an abusive household discovers that he can teleport and uses this ability to try and find the man he believes is responsible for the death of his mother. This draws the attention of the NSA, and another youth with the same power…

Asda are selling this DVD for £9.72 - click here for more details (I’m also well-informed that you should be able to get this for the same price instore).

Mr & Mrs Smith £3

Mr & Mrs Smith is one of those cheap DVDs that's better than you'd think

Mr & Mrs Smith will probably be less remembered for being the fairly decent action film that it is, and more for the fact that it signalled the beginning of the end of Brad Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston. Damn our tabloid obsession!

Senior Pitt and Angelina Jolie star as a married couple who are stuck in a rut - until the truth comes out. Neither realised that they were both lethal assassins working for rival organisations, until they discover they’re each others next target. Once this happens, their secret lives collide in a film that’s quite a bit better than you would expect.
