Eerie Indiana: The Complete Series £8.93

Eerie Indiana: The Complete Series

Marshall Teller and his family move to Eerie, Indiana (which has a population of 16,661) – he soon discovers that Eerie is the centre of weirdness in the entire universe. Which you would think as well if Elvis lived next door.

Eerie Indiana: The Complete Series includes all 19 episodes ever made. It’s worth pointing out that this kids show is still very watchable to this day, and in some respects is like a slightly less serious version of The X-Files.

Heroes: Season One £17.99

Heroes: Season One

Although it’s become a little less interesting to watch than it was previously, Heroes is still a fairly decent action series. The idea of seemingly ordinary people getting super powers isn’t all that new, but has been freshened up enough to make the show something worth a look.

The Heroes: Season One boxset contains every episode, spread across seven discs. Also included are hours of bonus material, such as audio commentaries on selected episodes and behind-the-scenes documentaries.

Play.com have this available for £17.99 – for more information, click here.

The Adventures Of Tintin: 75th Anniversary Boxset £12.89

The Adventures Of Tintin: 75th Anniversary Boxset

The Adventures Of Tintin is an animated series based on the series of books, of the same name, that were written by Hergé. Debuting in 1991, a total of 39 installments were produced over the course of three seasons – this is also perhaps the most well-known adaptation of the books so far (that is, until the big-screen film comes out in 2011).

Inside The Adventures Of Tintin: 75th Anniversary Boxset you’ll find 21 of the very best episodes ever made, across 10 discs. The fact that there are no special features is a little bit disappointing though.

The BBC Sherlock Holmes Collection £10.99

The BBC Sherlock Holmes Collection

Sherlock Holmes is still a much celebrated fictional super-sleuth today, which is quite impressive when you consider that the character first appeared way back in 1887. I believe that he may even have been childhood friends with Bruce Forsyth (what a terrible joke!).

The BBC Sherlock Holmes Collection contains eight adaptations featuring the great detective. These are A Study In Scarlet, The Boscombe Valley Mystery, The Hound Of The Baskervilles, The Sign Of Four, The Blue Carbuncle, The Hound Of The Baskervilles (2002), The Case Of The Silk Stocking, and The Strange Case Of Sherlock Holmes And Arthur Conan Doyle.

Casino Royale: Deluxe Edition £6.99

Casino Royale: Deluxe Edition

After lots of rumors about who would get the role of James Bond, Daniel Craig was announced as the choice to play him in Casino Royale. Whilst some were initially sceptical that he would pull it off (some going as far as to start up petitions to get him removed), the end result is one of the best 007 films ever made.

The Casino Royale: Deluxe Edition DVD is fitting for a movie of such quality, as it comes with three discs that contain hours of bonus material. This includes two audio commentaries, numerous documentaries, a music video, and some deleted scenes.

Saw IV: Extreme Limited Edition £4.49

Cheap DVDs like the Saw IV: Extreme Limited Edition will scare you witless

Saw IV continues the story of the Jigsaw Killer, and his personal mission to teach people the error of their ways, even though the events of the last entry in the series would make this seem impossible (I won’t spoil it for you, in case you’ve yet to see it).

The Saw IV: Extreme Limited Edition DVD comes with two audio commentaries, two short featurettes, and a music video. This differs from the other release by coming in a special case that has a real (actually fake!) workable saw.

HMV are selling this for £4.49 – click here for more details.

Old School And Anchorman Double Pack £5

Old School And Anchorman Double Pack

Will Ferrell has done a fair few comedies over the last few years, some of which have been downright hilarious and some of which have been at the very least funny in parts (Talladega Nights, Stranger Than Fiction, The Producers).

Both of the films in the Old School and Anchorman double pack definitely fall into the former category. I’d go so far as to say that they’re both the best movies he’s done thus far – Anchorman in particular being pant-wettingly funny.

Blade: The Complete Series £5

Blade: The Complete Series

The Blade films have all been pretty good, even if Blade: Trinity was a bit dodgy in places (Triple H as an actor! Ryan Reynolds!). Blade: The Series continues the story of the character who started life in a Marvel Comics book called Tomb Of Dracula in 1973.

Wesley Snipes doesn’t reprise his role from the movies, so Kirk Jones (who is a rapper apparently) steps into his shoes as the only man who can save the human race from hordes of evil bloodsucking vampires.

See No Evil, Cabin Fever And Jeepers Creepers Triple Pack £5.99

See No Evil, Cabin Fever And Jeepers Creepers Triple Pack

As far as horror films go, See No Evil, Cabin Fever and Jeepers Creepers vary greatly in quality – Jeepers Creepers is pretty good, as too is Cabin Fever, but See No Evil is quite poor (considering it’s a WWE movie, this shouldn’t be that surprising).

However, when you see the price of the See No Evil, Cabin Fever and Jeepers Creepers triple pack, you’ll probably agree that just under £2 for each represents great value for money.
