Pulp Fiction: Collector’s Edition Steelbook £5.49

Pulp Fiction is a Quentin Tarantino film that intertwines a vast array of mini-stories into one fantastic movie. Rich dialogue, an ironic mix of violence and comedy, and a host of cinematic and pop culture references help make this one of the best films he’s produced thus far.

The Pulp Fiction: Collector’s Edition steelbook contains two discs, which together contain hours of bonus material. This includes a documentary, a featurette, some deleted scenes, and various other bits and pieces.

Morrissey: Who Put The ‘M’ In Manchester? £2.99

On May the 22nd 2004, Morrissey returned on his birthday to perform in the city where he was born, Manchester. The DVD titled Morrissey: Who Put The ‘M’ In Manchester? contains this in its entirety.

I Am Legend may have attempted to do something original with the empty streets of New York, but it was 28 Days Later that did it first (albeit with London) and better. So boo to you Hollywood!

In 28 Days Later a powerful virus is unleashed on the British public which turns anyone who comes into contact with it into a raging loony. Within 28 days the entire country is overhelmed, although a small band of people have managed to survive – only to find out that the virus isn’t their only problem…

28 Weeks Later is the sequel and is set six months after the events of the previous movie. The good old U.S. Army declare that the virus is dead and that Britain can be rebuilt. Little do they know how wrong they are…

Snatch And Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels Double Pack £5

It looks as though Snatch is a popular choice for inclusion when producing packs of films in the UK, as shown by the Layer Cake and Snatch double pack for £5 at Play.com and the Snatch and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels double pack for the same price from the same retailer.

Both movies are excellent gangster films, although my personal preference has to be "Lock, Stock…" as it has a much better story – the at-the-time-odd appearance of Vinnie Jones in his first acting role was a revelation as well (he’s pretty darn good).

The Krays: Special Edition £3.99

The Krays is a film based on the lives and crimes of the notorious British gangsters Ronald and Reginald Kray – twins who were funnily enough played by real-life twins Gary and Martin Kemp, of Spandau Ballet fame.

The Krays: Special Edition DVD comes with an audio commentary by the Kemps and director Peter Medak, plus two extensive documentaries on the criminals lives.

The Lost Boys Double Pack £5

Although it’s sometimes obvious that a sequel could be in the works after a film proves to be a hit, I have to admit that The Lost Boys never seemed to be a likely candidate for one.

Lost Boys: The Tribe is nowhere near as good as the 1987 original, but it does manage to reunite Corey Feldman and Corey Haim on-screen for the first time in ages. There’s talk of another sequel, with the two Coreys in starring roles – which could actually make for a decent movie, if they get the script right.

Layer Cake And Snatch Double Pack £5

Layer Cake is a British gangster film about a successful cocaine dealer who is planning his retirement, only to be drawn into one last deal that could change his life. Snatch is another UK movie, this time about two different stories from the London underworld that intertwine – one being a search for a stolen diamond, and the other a psychotic gangster who controls a small-time boxing promoter.

Surprisingly enough, the Layer Cake and Snatch double pack contains both of these films – I better you would never have guessed that, would you?
