Best of Later... with Jools Holland

Originally a founding member of the band Squeeze, Jools Holland is probably better known these days as the presenter of Later… with Jools Holland (surprising that, eh?). Basically a more serious version of Top of the Pops, this programme is widely regarded as one of the best of its kind in this country.

The Best of Later… with Jools Holland DVD contains some of the very best performances between 2000 and 2006 from artists including Green Day and R.E.M. You'll also find some interviews with a handful of acts as well.

HMV have this available for £5.99 – for more information, click here.

Scrubs: Series One to Seven Collector’s Pack £49.85

American comedy/drama show Scrubs has been airing in this country since its debut, with varying degrees of success – although for some reason it's never really been popular enough to catch on with the terrestrial channels (I'm not entirely sure why, to be honest).

Anyway, the Scrubs: Series One To Seven Collector's Pack contains the first 150 episodes of one of the most hilarious programmes still going strong. You'll also find countless hours of extra features, which range from audio commentaries to deleted scenes via outtakes and featurettes.

Spider-Man Trilogy (Blu-Ray) £19.96

Spider-Man Trilogy (Blu-Ray)

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, 2002 saw the debut of Spider-Man on the big screen – and what a debut it was. Fantastic special effects and an excellent storyline, combined with an impressive cast list, made for the best superhero movie of all-time (now it's fair to say that The Dark Knight has moved the bar even higher).

The Spider-Man Trilogy, on Blu-Ray, is a boxset which contains all three films that have been made so far. All look stunning in high definition, and sound just as good as well.

The Sweeney: The Complete Series £15.85

The Sweeney: The Complete Series

The late John Thaw is perhaps better known to viewers as Inspector Morse, but for many he will always be the tough no-nonsense copper John "Jack" Regan from The Sweeney. Teaming up with Dennis Waterman as George Carter, the show was one of the most popular around in the mid-70's.

The Sweeney: The Complete Series contains all 53 episodes ever made, across a total of 14 discs. This is a vanilla release, which means that it comes with absolutely no extra features (but at a much lower price than the other set which does).

Clubbed £4.99

Clubbed

Clubbed is a British film which follows factory worker Danny who decides to fight back after being the victim of a random act of violence. Set in the violent world of the 80's clubland, he's drawn deeper into it after befriending a group of nightclub doormen…

The DVD comes with a fairly decent collection of special features too, including an audio commentary with the writer and director. The "Behind the Doors: The Making of Clubbed" documentary, deleted scenes and TV spots round off what you'll find with it.

The Matrix Trilogy (Blu-Ray) £12.95

The Matrix Trilogy (Blu-Ray)

Love them or hate them, you have to give The Matrix films a round of applause for making a crap-ton of money at the box office. Although the third one was a bit of a letdown, it's fair to say that the first two are brilliant examples of explosive action flicks done well.

The Matrix Trilogy, on Blu-Ray, has never looked better than it does in high definition. You'll also be glad to hear that many of the extra features from the standard DVD releases have made it across too, including commentaries, documentaries, and a chance to listen to nearly three hours of music from the movies.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you can't have failed to have noticed a certain superhero film by the name of The Dark Knight which has not only proven to be the best Batman movie so far, but the best in a fairly crowded genre to boot.

This high definition release has absolutely fantastic picture and sound quality, plus it come with all of the bonus material from the DVD version. This includes a few featurettes on the making of the film, some galleries, and six "Gotham Tonight" excerpts in full.

Terminator: Salvation £7.99

Terminator: Salvation

Terminator: Salvation is the fourth installment in the Terminator series. Set in 2018, it focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet – a departure from the previous movies, which were set between 1984 and 2004 and used time travel as a key plot element.

This exclusive steelbook DVD is identical to the other version available, except that it has a snazzy case – which means that the extra features still only amount to a solitary featurette on the Mototerminators.
